Desk on the ridge

Write for a hive morning, a flight, or a crate

The form stays on this page; it does not send itself. Call or email if you need a same-day answer during desk hours. Saturday the gate stays shut.

Visit rules

Veils on, shoes closed, perfume left in the car

If you are coming for a hive morning, you will take a veil from the peg at the gate. We provide the mesh. You provide closed-toe shoes that can take dust, wax drips, and the limestone of the pad. Sandals, heels, and bare feet stay in town.

Long sleeves in a calm colour help. Dark fluffy knitwear collects bees the way a thistle collects goldfinches. Leave scent, hairspray, and open sweet drinks in the car. Children under twelve stay back from open boxes; a parent stays with them. Known venom allergy: write it in the note. We are a food farm, not a clinic.

We cancel in high wind, hard rain, or when a colony is being requeened. If the gate note says the yard is closed, do not walk the pad to see for yourself.

Hive rows on the terrace where visitors stand in veils
The pad is for appointed mornings. Crate collections use the lean-to, not this row.
Two different clocks

Crate orders are not hive mornings

Say which you need. Mixing them on the same visit usually means someone waits in the sun while we finish the other job.

Lean-to

Crate order

Jars and wax

We meet you at the extraction lean-to with a dated crate. You do not take a veil. You do not stand over an open colony. Tell us bloom, jar size, and whether wax travels in the same box. Good on any desk-hour day, including Friday until 13:00.

Terrace

Hive morning

Yard, then spoons

Timed 08:30 or 10:30, Sunday to Thursday, March to October. Veils, two or three open boxes, then a flight downstairs. If you also want a crate, we pack it after the spoons — write both so we do not put you on a crate-only slot.

Parking in Zikhron

HaTamar Street, not the hive pad

8 HaTamar Street sits above the town, a short climb from the old centre. Leave the car on the street, tight to the kerb, and walk to the house gate. Do not drive onto the limestone pad, even to turn. The boxes face that opening; a bonnet in the flight path is how mornings go wrong.

If HaTamar is full, drop back toward the wider streets below and walk the last minutes. We are not a car park for Ramat HaNadiv, and we do not hold spaces for late parties. Coaches cannot make the lane; school groups arrive in cars or a small van, agreed in writing.

Wheel a crate order to the lean-to on the downhill side of the house. That door is marked. The terrace path is for veiled visitors only.

What to write

A note we can answer without guessing

The form above does not leave this page. A real booking still goes by email or telephone. Put the facts in the first lines so we are not writing back for them.

  • Visits Date, 08:30 or 10:30, headcount, ages of any children, and whether you want the yard or the wax-room flight only.
  • Crates Bloom, 250 g or 500 g, how many jars, and whether tapers, wraps or blocks travel with them.
  • Shops Your counter name in Zikhron or along the Carmel coast, and a promise to keep bloom names on the shelf.
  • We can Book a morning, pack a dated crate, and pour wax within the season we actually have.
  • We cannot Take walk-ins, serve a meal, or discuss honey as medicine, investment, or a pet product.
