1. Law that applies
We handle personal information under the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741–1981, and the Privacy Protection Regulations (Data Security), 5777–2017, as supervised by the Privacy Protection Authority. Where we sell jars to consumers, the Consumer Protection Law, 5741–1981, also governs how we describe goods and handle complaints. This site is not a clinic and does not process health files. Hive-visit notes about a known bee-venom allergy, if you choose to tell us, are used only to plan a safer morning on the terrace; they are not a medical record we maintain for treatment.
If a database of visitor or customer details reaches the registration thresholds set by Israeli law, we will register it with the Authority. Until then we still apply the Law’s duties of purpose limitation, access, and correction.
2. What we collect
Enquiries and bookings
Name, email, phone, preferred date, headcount, and the free-text message you send about a hive morning, honey flight, jar crate, wholesale enquiry, or wax order. If a parent books for a child, we keep the adult’s contact details, not a child’s profile.
Orders and food traceability
Delivery or collection name, address in Israel, what was packed, lot numbers, and payment references supplied by you or your shop. We keep lot-to-customer links so that if a jar must be recalled we can find the crate. That is a food-business purpose, not marketing.
Site preference cookie
After you press Accept on the chip at the bottom of the page, we store a single first-party preference so the notice can stay dismissed for the session. We do not run advertising pixels, social trackers, or analytics suites on this static site.
Phone and gate
Calls to +972 4 639 5518 may show your number on the desk handset. We do not operate a public webcam of the hives.
3. Why we use it
- To answer a visit or order request and to meet you at 8 HaTamar Street at the agreed time.
- To pack and, where relevant, invoice a crate of honey or wax goods.
- To keep food-lot traceability required of a farm that sells jars.
- To send a factual follow-up about the booking you asked for — not a newsletter you did not request.
- To meet accounting and tax retention duties in Israel.
We do not sell lists. We do not profile you for advertising. We do not use your details to claim that honey treats illness or to offer financial products.
4. Who else might see it
Family members who staff the desk (the Tzur household operating the company) see booking notes. An Israeli accountant may see invoice names. A courier, if we send a crate, sees the delivery address. A shop buying wholesale sees only what that order requires. We do not send personal data abroad as a routine practice; this website is a static brochure.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiry messages that do not become a visit or sale are deleted within 18 months. Booking diaries are kept for 24 months after the visit. Invoice and lot-link records follow ordinary Israeli bookkeeping periods, which are longer. Cookie preference lasts for the browser session unless you clear it.
6. Your rights under Israeli law
You may ask whether we hold data about you, request to see it, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Send the request to hello@carmelapiary.pro from the address we already have, or write to 8 HaTamar Street, Zikhron Ya'akov 3091784, with enough detail for us to find the file. We will answer within the time the Law allows. You may complain to the Privacy Protection Authority if you believe we have failed these duties.
You may ask us to stop using your details for any optional follow-up. We may still keep what the food-lot or tax rules require even if a marketing-style note is deleted — this atelier does not run marketing lists in any case.
7. Security on a small farm
Paper lot cards live in the lean-to office. Digital notes live in a mailbox and a simple desk sheet used only for the apiary. The public website has no customer login and no payment form. The contact form on this static page is built not to transmit (action="#"); a real booking still goes through email or telephone, which you should treat as ordinary correspondence.
8. Children on hive mornings
We do not knowingly build profiles of minors. A parent or teacher is the contact. Under-twelves stay back from open hives; that is a yard rule, not a data product.
9. Changes
If the way this farm holds information changes — for example if we add a paid online cart — we will update this page and the date at the top. The work on the ridge does not change the fact that we are a food farm and wax atelier in Zikhron Ya'akov, Company No. 516441208.
